    French and Indian war 1754
    The War was also known as the 'Seven Year War'. The French sided with the indians because they didn't like how British raised their taxes. The war started was when the british started to take over the indians lands in Ohio when told not to. The British won the war after 7 years. At the end of the war the British gained a lot of land from the indians. After the war the colonies ended up get higher taxes to pay for the war expenses, which caused problems in the future.
  • Treaty of 1763

    The Treaty of 1763 ended the 7 year war. It was signed in France by the French, British, Spain, and Portugal. The Treaty is the reason why the French gave up all their land in North America. The French also last land in Canada.
  • Proclamation of 1763

    The Royal Proclamation was issued by King George III. The Proclamation angered the colonist because King George told them that the western lands are off limits. The British wanted them on the east side of the moustians to keep a eye on them. They didn't like being under King George strict rules.

    It imposed direct tax onto the colonist. They payed a tax for a stamp on papers, documents, playing cards, etc. The colonist thought the act was violating their rights. They first started the actc to help get rid of sugar smugglers. After months of protests they dropped the act but sooner and later another act come out that lets British have full control of the colonist.

    It was a deadly riot that occured on king street in boston. It started off as a street bawl between a colonist and british soldier until it turned into a chaotic slaughter. In the massacre only 5 died and 6 injured it was a state terrorist attack. A patriot was harassing a soldier by throwing snowballs and a the British killed 5 men.

    It was a political protest. The british was higher taxes on tea so the colonist dumped 342 crates of tea into the ocean. King george closed the harbor shortly after and raised taxes on paper, lead, paint, and tea. The tea costly roughly 92,000 pounds and the colonist had to pay it back. During the act of dumping the tea no one stole or looted anything from the ship not even tea.

    The five acts were the Boston port, Massachusetts act, administration of justice act, quartering act, quebec act. These were punishments by the British from the tea party (boston tea party) act. The worst act out of them all is the Boston port because they closed the most major port the colonist had.

    This battle was the start of the American Revolution. The battle took place in Massachusetts Bay. The British army marched in they won the battle. The battle is also known as the 'The Shots Heard Around the World.' The British government said the Massachusetts is the state of rebellion. The British went to Boston for military supplies.

    The Publication of Common Sense was made by Thomas Paine. Thomas made the article to convince the colonist to join the war. The article talked about the wrong doing the British have done and if we win the war how we can make it better. The pamphlet made a lot of people join the war and fight for what they want. The writing was really clear and he made 49 pages. The book was made January 10, 1776

    It was made by the Continental Congress. It set the 13 colonies free from the British. It seeked the motivation of the colonist to win. The meeting was in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

    The battle happened in New Jersey. It was a small battle it lasted ten days and the colonist won the battle. It was snowing it was in the morning after christmas. The Hessian army got crushed by washington army.

    The Battle of Saratoga took place in New York. This battle happened twice once in September and in October. The Americans won and it was a major turning point in the Revolutionary war. IT took a week long negotiation until the other side surender and they won the battle.

    After this battle it started to lead some congress man to want to replace Washington because of his incompetent. The americans won this battle. 2.000 people died in this war during the encampment. It wasn't really a battle it was a disease that killed everyone and people fled.

    This battle gave the Americans a major boost in the war when they won. There was damage he british couldn't fix. this battle only lasted an hour. After this win it slowed the british invasion into South Carolina.

    The Siege of Yorktown also known as Battle of Yorktown is the last major battle of the Revolution. The Americans marched into British army early and defeated them. The British surrender as the Americans and French cornered them in Yorktown.

    This paper was signed by the British and Americans. This was an agreement of the Americans freedom. The news about the war took a while to go around so the paper wasn't offically in use from everyone until May 12, 1784.
