    He was arrested in Los Angeles, March 3, 1991. The police stopped him because, he was, driving while intoxicated. And they say the beating started because king was tryna resist the officiers arrest.

And i believe that the three officecers, Briseno, Wind, and koon did take a Plea bargin, which made them be able to get out on probation, after serving a few years in prison.
