Charles Babbage devolped the first mechanical computer. He used a difference engine for the computer. Babbage recieved help with this from Ada Lovelace. Lovelace is considered to be the first computer programmer for her work with the difference engine.

Konrad Zuse made the first prgrammable computer in his parents' living room. It's considered to be the first electo-mechanical binary programmable computer. It is also considered to be the first fuctional modern computer. Kruse called this the Z1.

Konrad Zuse built the first commercial computer. This computer was called the Z4. Eduard Stiefel bought the computer. Stiefel was a mathematician for the Swiss Federal Inistitute of Technology.

Shakey The Robot
Charles Rosen led a team in devloping a robot called "Shakey". Shakey was far more advanced than the Unimate. Shakey could move around the room and watch the scene on a tv. Shakey got it's name because of it's wobbly and clattering movements.
