First Affordable Car
Henry Ford wanted to create a car affordable for the people which he called it the 'Model T'. The car was in mass production by the Ford Motor Company. The Model T could range anywhere between $260-850. -
President Harding Death
President Harding died at the Palace Hotel on August 2nd, 1923. His death was claimed to be a heart attack but not fully confirmed as his wife would not allow an autopsy on his body. The god course there ended up being named after him where he drew his last breath. -
Ku Klux Klan Reborn
The Ku Klux Klan, also known as the "KKK", was a terrorist group revived by William J. Simmons. They were white and killed people based on the color of their skin. Many African Americans, Asians, Catholics, Jews, and immigrants were murdered. -
Two Women Elected Governor
Nellie Taylor Ross and Miriam A. Ferguson were the first two women to be elected governor. Ross being a governor of Wyoming and Ferguson covering Texas respectfully. Ross was the first one elected just fifteen days before Ferguson. Ferguson was elected twice as her husband could not run for re-election. -
John Scopes Trial
John T. Scopes was charged with violating a state law by teaching Charles Darwin's theory of evolution. -
Amelia Earhart Incident
Amelia Earhart was one of the most known people in aviation being a female pilot. Unfortunately, reported by the government, Amelia had ran out of fuel while flying and crashed into the ocean. Many years later, nobody could figure out what happened and have no idea where the plane ended up. -
Stock Market Crash
A sudden decline in the stock market. Everyone was struggling to regain the money they have lost and many jobs went out of business. -
FDR's New Deal
Franklin D. Roosevelt had a plan once he became president of the United States during the Great Depression. The New Deal aimed to restore prosperity to the country and stabilize the economy.
