The French and Indian war.
Was a time before the when the French and the Indians were at war. It was not with each other but with the British and other countries. The 13 colonies were not involved in this war. -
Proclamation of 1763
It was a law King George III placed that stated that all settlements are forbaded past the line made along the Appalachian mountains. This means the settlers couldn't make any new colonies parts the Appalachian mountain and they are stuck in the 13 colonies. The king probably did this to keep control of the people in the colonies. -
Sugar Act
The king now taxed sugar and made the colonist even more mad. This King was trying to do so much so he didn't lose the land and he did. Really it is his fault that he lost his land. -
Stamp Act
It was an act where things started to get taxed. Important goods got taxed and the tax was starting to get out of control. This act encourage the revolutionary war. -
The Townshend Act
Was a series of acts that we're give to the colonist. The act were named after Charles Townshend. Most of the acts were mostly for the British colonist not as much for the American colonist. -
Boston Massacre
It was a street fight between a patriot mod and a British squad. The patriots threw snowballs, stones, and sticks at the troops. Some colonist were killed and this led to campaign. -
Tea Act
It was a time when the tea started to get taxed. This led the colonist to get upset with the king and start to get more angry with him. This would led to the Boston tea party. -
Boston Tea Party
This was a protest made by the sons of liberty. This marked and stated that the colonist would no longer pay all the taxes. Some Indians also helped in this protest. -
Intolerable Acts
Was a series of acts that were ment to punish the colonist for dumping tea in to the Boston harbor. This would only just led to more and more violence from the colonist. And from that will led to the revolutionary war. -
Declaration of Independence
Was a act that claimed independence from Britain. This event led to the war between Britain and American. The king did not accept this offer of freedom from Britain and went to war.
