Tea Act
The final straw in a 1773 series of unpopular policies and taxes impose by Britain on her American colonies. The policy ignited a "powder keg" of opposition and resentment among American colonies and was the Boston tea party. -
Boston Tea Party
Colonist dressed as natives and dumped the tea into the harbor. It started with the boycott of tea. -
Intolerable act
Parliament responded swiftly and angrily to the tea party with a string of legislation that came to be known as the intolerable act. It included the four acts of 1773.
