Boston Tea Party The Boston Tea Party was when a group of intellectuals called the Sons of Liberty dressed as the Mohawk Indians and threw cases of tea into the Boston Harbor to protest the new tax on tea. I rate this a 6, because you can understand just how upset everyone is. -

First continental Congress Representatives from 12 of the colonies met in Philidelphia to ask King George III to repeal the Inteolerable Acts. He didn't. I rate this an 8, because after this the colonists formed a militia. -

Intolerable ActsBritish troops thought that weapons were being stockpiled in Concord. They were confronted my famers and militia members on the way to Concord. They defeated them, but many colonists still volunteered to fight. I rate this an 8, because the British troops now can see that the colonists are serious and are able organize their own groups of people to help fight. -

Second Continental CongressThe delegates decided to meet again to discuss the battles in Massachusetts. Most of the delegates support independence and set up a committee to to write a declaration. I rate this a 9 on the scale, because this is what lead up to the last event before the Revolution. -

Declaratino of IndependenceThomas Jefferson wrote this document and in it he lists 27 examples of British tyranny and why it was our responsibilities. I rate this event a 9 - I think this contributed to the American Revolution a lot, because now the British can see that their power is lessening. -

The Proclomation of 1763 was when the colonists were forbidden from going past the west of the Appalachian Mountains in order to avoid conflict.
I rate this a 4, because the new colonists just ignored the proclomation anyways.
