This Document was signed by King John the first in medieval England.
The document gave certain rights to the kings subjects while especially limiting the kings power and making it so he had to follow and respect the same laws and legal system. -
Mayflower Compact
They made this to establish rules and a system to govern for the mayflower in massachusetts. -
Petition Of Rights
Stated that Englishmen were given certain rights and liberties, some of which being that they shall not be taxed without a act of parlament and nobody shall be imprisoned unless there is proof.

It was made to limit the power of the crown creat a regular election to parliament, rules for freedom of speech in parliament, to be able to protest without fear of retribution, and the liberty for protestans to bear arms for defense. -

The major players in the war were The French, Native Americans, The British, and the Colonists.
Some Major battles include, Ft. Duquesne, Ft. Oswego, Battle of Quebec, and more. The winners of the war being the British, and it resulting in the beginning of alot more taxation in the colonies. -
Albany Plan of Union
This was the plan to join the colonies of north America under a more centralized government to both be able to help each other and to fight off the French during the French Indian war.
The famous political cartoon "Join, or die" created by Ben Franklin is associated with the Unity of the Colonies. -

After the French and Indian war England began drastically taxing the American Colonies. Also causing alot of english oppression in the Colonies. -
The Stamp Act
Made specific Taxes for British America, and made it required that most printed things be printed on stamp paper, made only in London. Items taxed were Ship papers, legal document, licenses, newspapers, playing cards. And the colonies believed it was a violation of their rights. -
Boston Massacre
This was the killing of 5 colonists by British Soldiers. And the taxing of the colonies and prescence of more royal soldiers to enforce it caused tension in Colonists, leading to the killing. -
The Intolerable Acts
A serious of acts that caused massive restricts on colonies.
The first four occuring because of the Boston Tea party. The British hoping to make an example of Massachusets.

Boston Tea Party
History.com Boston Tea PartyThis was a sign of political protest by the "Sons of Liberty", protesting by throughing the tea in the Boston Harbor. The British responded with the intolerable act 1774 shutting down Boston Ports and destroying Massachusets government. -
First Continental Congress
this was a conventional meeting of represents from 12 colonies Georgia not included. This meeting was in Philidelphia, involving George Washington, Richard Henry Lee, Patrick Henry, Edmund Pendleton, Colo. Benjamin Harrison, Richard Bland, and Peyton Randolph. The result of the meeting to bring all the colonies together in unity. -

Colonel Smith, Major Pitcairne and Lord Percy commanded the British Troops. and Militia were commanded by Barrett, Buttrick, Robinson and many others. Paul Revere havind rode to warn the militia men of the british advance. -

Was the second convention occuring in Philadelphia Pennsylvania.
Many of the same leaders ad the first Congress came to the second.
And they discussed The starting of arming the colonies and one more chance to change England but the document they sent was recieved too late. -

The declaration of indepence stating to the british of the United states being their own country and no longer being a colonies.
The Declaration of independence was writen by Thomas Jefferson. And the 3 major parts being First the preamble stating its independence. The second part stating about the kings disruptions of rights. And the third part being the official declaration of Independence. -
