  • Stamp Act

    The Stamp Act was an act of British Parliament that was a new tax that inposed taxs for American colonies. The affected the American Revolution because the British goverment wanted to shoulder part of the war's cost.
  • French and Indian War.

    French and Indian War.
    It was a requent war because of the French's expansion. This led to the American Revolution because the treaty strengthened the American colonies significantly by removing their European rivals to the north and south and opening the MIssissippi Valley to westward expansion.
  • Proclamation of 1763

    Proclamation of 1763
    The proclamation was a forbade all settlement past a line drawn along the Appalachian Mountains. This started the American Revolution because its economic benefits for Britain prompted ministers to keep it until the eve of the Revolution.
  • Townshend Acts

    Townshend Acts
    The Townshend Acts was a series of acts that passed by Parliment. This affcted the American Revolution because this act lead to a truce for the British and American colonies.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    The Boston Massacre was a street fight that occured in the 5th of March. This affected the American Revolution because Governor Hutchinson’s reluctant removal of troops from Boston under threat of insurrection dramatized the impotence of imperial power as it was then constituted when faced with organized local resistance.

    The Tea Act was the final straw in a series of unpopular policies and taxes imposed by Britain on her American colonies. This affected teh American Revolution because this was a of several measures imposed on the American colonists that heavily indebted British government in the decade leading up to the American Revolutionary War

    The Intolerable Acts were acts passed to punish the colonists for the Boston Tea Party. This had an affect in the American Revolution because more laws were passed by the British for teh Americans because of the Boston Tea Party.
  • Lexington and Concord

    The battles of Lexington and Concord was tension that had been building for many years between residents of the 13 American colonies and the British authorities, particularly in Massachusetts. This affected the American Revolution because it kicked off the American Revolution.
  • Declaration of Independence

    The Declaratioin of Independece was a formal statement of the colonies intentions. This affected the American Revolution because it gave independence to the Americans and influenced other states.
