2 Proclamation Act
Established 4 new colonies. It declared all lands considered "indian territory" occupied by englishmen were to abandon it. -

A treaty signed by Great Britian, France and Spain. Portugal didnt sign it, but was in agreement. -

The earliest was formed in Boston in 1764. They were organized in a decade before the revolution. -

Act of the parliment of Great Britian. Accomplished the repeal of the stamp act. -
10 Stamp Act Repealed
The colonists pushed forward the stamp act despite rejections. Parliment ended up repealing the stamp act. -
11 Townshend Act
Named after Charles townshend. These were a series of acts passed. -
12 Boston Massacre
This started with a street fight. Several colonists were killed. -
13 Tea Act
wanted to reduce the massive surplus of tea. Smuggled into britians North American Colonies. -
14 Boston Tea Party
Political protest between the sons of liberty in Boston. Destroyed an entire shipment of tea. -
15 Intolerble Acts
Americans name for the punitive laws passed by the British. This was caused after the Boston Tea Party. -
16 1st Continental Congress
meeting of delegates from the first 12 colonies. Also called "the passage of the coercive acts." -
17 Lexington and Concord
First American engagments for the Revolution. Tension was building for many years. -
18 Bunker Hill
British defeated thr Americans at this battle in Massachusettes. Although the Americans lost this gave them an important confidance boost. -
19 Common Sense (Thomas Paine)
inspired the thirteen colonies to declare the fight for independance from great britian. Happened at the begining of the American Revolution. -
21. Declaration of Independance
This document severed the political connection between americas 13 colonies. They were now able to declare themselves an Independent nation.
