  • The Molasses Act

    The Molasses Act
    Act that imposed a tax of six pence per gallon on imports of molasses from non-British colonies. This act most likely made the colonists mad because they didn't have much and now they were being taxed because of imports.
  • Charges on Colonial Trade

    Charges on Colonial Trade
    Parliament decided to impose charges on colonial trade to maintain the army and repay war debts. angered colonists more due to the amount of products taxed just for British profit.
  • The Currency Act

    The Currency Act
    Prohibited colonial governments from issuing paper money and required all taxes and debts to British merchants to be paid in British currency. The colonist did not like the the Currency Act. The colonist would protest over it.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    Required profits from the American colonies by imposing a stamp obligation on newspapers and legal/commercial documents. The colonists did not like this act at all because they felt as if it was a violation of their rights.
  • Townshend Acts

    Townshend Acts
    Series of British acts of Parliament passed. Tax placed on glass, lead, paints, paper, and tea. This act made they colonist unhappy, so said colonist boycotted it.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    British soldiers shot and killed several people in Boston during a mob. This is a very important event because in a way it united the colonists and made them desire independence from great Britain even more than before.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    Protest by the Sons of Liberty in Boston, Massachusetts. Dumped tea into the Boston Harbor. Basically this is the last major event. Colonist were fed up with the British and their taxes so they dumped the tea. (I would just like to say, RIP tea).

    Revolution starts due to the different events that cause America and Britain to be upset with each other.
