French and Indian war
The war began in 1754 and gave allowed Britain to gain lots of new land in North America, but this angered many people and it led to many other wars. It ended with the Treaty of Paris. -

The treat of Paris stated that all of the French empire would basically leave the North American continent. They were allowed to keep some islands in the West Indies. -

The point of the proclamation was so that no one could have settlements past the Appalachian mountains. Many people were angry about it and were going to fight because of it. -

The sons of Liberty took matters into their own hands. They did many things and eventually made the tax agents resign and the English ended up taking the Stamp Act away a year later. -
