The Tea Act was to lessen the tea from other areas to American so the British would have a monopoly over tea. -

The tea was dumped into the harbor by colonists dressed as indains. -
Intolerable Acts
Parliament passed the bill on March 31, 1774, and King George III gave it permission on May 20th. -
1st Continental Congress
The Congress first met in Philadelphia on September 5, 1774, with delegates from each of the 13 colonies but Georgia didn't come.
