  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    This was the first internal tax levied directly on the American colonists, which made them pay for stamps to send any document or letter to whomever they wished to send it to, and the tax was very high for one stamp. So this made colonists very angry and decided to do something about it. Many colonies around the world began to stop buying stamps and closed trading ports between Britain which forced Britain to appeal this act. Loyalist and colonist partook in this.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    This was a deadly riot that ended up shocking the world. The colonists were rebelling against British soldiers the colonist continued to intimidate the soldiers so they fired at them killing 5 and wounding 3. This upset many colonies around the world and made many angrier at the British. The loyalist and colonists were involved in this deadly riot.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    This was a gathering of three British Tea ships that were hijacked by American colonists who were disgusted as natives. They got aboard and dumped 342 full chest of tea into the harbor. This angered the King and he ordered "redcoats" to be stationed in the colonists home and they would have to take care of the soldiers. Colonist,minutemen, and loyalist partook in this event which turned to a disaster.

    This was a meeting of delegates from 12 of the 13 British colonies that became the united states. They met after the British Navy instituted a blockade of the Boston harbor and Parliament passed the punitive intolerable act due to the Boston Tea party. Patriots and the Founding Father partook in this event.

    The first military engagements of the American Revolutionary war. On the night of April 18, 1775 British troops marched from Boston to nearby Concord to seize an arms cache. Paul Revere a silversmith let the American colonists know that the British were coming so that they would be prepared to fight.

    This was and convention of the 13 colonies that formed soon after the start of the Revolutionary war. Patriots and other America colonial parties partook in this.

    This battle was a deadly fought war between Britain and the American colonies. Despite the colonies losing they took a great number of casualties from Britain and the battle provided them with a great number of confidence. Loyalist and Patriots partook in this battle between the redcoats and colonist.

    This was a final option for the American colonists to avoid going to war with Britain during the revolution. Loyalists and Patriots took part in this.

    This was a pamphlet written by Thomas Paine in 1775-1776 advocating independence from Great Britain to people in the Thirteen Colonies. The founding Fathers and the colonies took part in this.
  • Declaration of Independence

    Declaration of Independence
    This was a gathering of the Founding Fathers and many other American colonists. This document would grant America it's independence which made them the United States. Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin Partook in the signing and many other powerful people.
