1. Treaty of Paris 1763
This treaty ended the French and Indian war between the French and the British. This treaty stated that France give up all their territories in America. -

The act let no settlement passed a drawn like alongside the Appalachian Mountains. The act also brought 3 new colonies. -

They we made up by Patriot leaders of the Thirteen colonies on the edge of the American Revolution. They were the means for communication for the people. -

This stated that more foreign goods shpuld be taxed. It also lowered the tax rate on sugar. -

This resulted in the new tax of American Colonies. They had to pay a tax for every printed peice of paper they used. -
6. Quartering Act
This made American Colonists house British soldiers. It said where the locations and conditions for finding a place to stay. -

7. Stamp Act Congress
This was the meeting held to get rid of the Sugar Act and the Stamp Act. This is where the popular chant, "no taxation without representation', came from. -
8. Declaration of Rights and Grievances
This was written by the Stamp Act Congress. It said that the taxes on British colonists were unfair. -
10. Declaratory Act
This act changed the Sugar Act. This happened because the boycotts of the colonies were hurting Britain. -
9. Stamp Act repealed
Benjamin Franklin made an appeal against the Stamp Act. That same day the British Government passed the Declaratory Act. -
11. Townshend Acts
This act was named after Charles Townshend. They were a series of 6 acts. -
12. Boston Massacre
This was between a mob of Patriots and the British. Several colonists were killed and the rest wounded. -
13. Tea Act
This act caused the colonists to say we've had enough. This act actually didn't impose any new taxes. -
14. Boston Tea Party
The colonists poured kegs of tea into the Boston Harbor. This was a protest by the Sons of Liberty. -
15. Intolerable Acts
This was a series of unfair laws passed after the Boston Tea Party. These acts were meant to punish the colonists. -

This was a meeting of delegates from 12 of the 13 colonies. The delegates were elected and the meetings were held in Carpenter's Hall in Philadelphia. -

A book written by Thomas Paine. This book inspired the colonists to fight for independence. -
18. Lexington and Concord
The first shot fired at Lexington was called the, "shot heard around the world'. The colonists knew they were coming due to Paul Revere and spies and friends of the American's. -
19. Bunker Hill
226 men were killed and 800 wounded. The colonists ran out of ammo and had to retreat. -
20. Olive Branch Petition
The last attempt to stop an all out war. The petition stated that the Americans would be loyal the Britain. -
21. Declaration of Independence
Thomas Jefferson wrote the rough draft. The day was originally pushed for July 2nd not the 4th.
