The Currency Act
Great Britain also made up this act, this act regulated paper instead of money. The acts sought to protect British Merchants and other people from depreciated colonial currency. -
Stamp Act
This act was an attempt to raise revenue through direct taxation of all colonial commercial and legal papers, newspapers, cards, and other paper products were taxed in this act with a simple stamp. -
Townshend Revenue Act
This act was made to collect revenue from American Colonists by putting customs duties on imports of glass, lead, paper, paint and teas. -
The Boston Massacre
The Boston massacre was a fight that started March 5, 1770. This fight happened between patriot mobs that threw stones, snow and sticks at British soldiers causing the British soldiers to shoot some of the patriots dead. -
The tea act
The tea act was created by the British Parliament because there were enterprises that were struggling. They put taxes on all tea products so they were harder to purchase. -
Boston Tea Party
The Boston Tea party was a protest where people dressed up as Native Americans and threw the tea off of the side of the boats that delivered the tea to start a movement. -
