Proclamation Line
Great Britain's acquisition of French territory in North America after the end of the French and Indian War/Seven Years' War, which forbade all settlement past a line drawn along the Appalachian Mountains. -
Stamp Act
First act of Direct Taxes on everyone not just merchants. This put taxes on all printed items like paper, cards, stamps, etc. If you were caught without these two stamps you would have to pay or be punished. -
Quartering Act
This act required colonists to provide food and shelter to British soldiers. Soldiers could just come in and stay at your house and you couldn't do nothing about it. This paved way for our 3rd amendment that we have today. -
Declaratory Act
This act was formed in response to protests from colonies. England did this to save face. Make life had for colonies. -
Townshend Act
This Act put taxes on several items. Taxes were put on items like tea, paper, and glass. -
Boston Massacre
Soldiers fired on heckling crowd of colonists. Colonists provoked and threw stuff at the soldiers. Five colonists were killed in this event. -
Tea Act
Great Britain lowered prices on tea. They lowered the prices to be nice to the colonists. -
Boston Tea Party
Colonists were fed up with England's taxes. So they threw several shipments of tea in the ocean. -
Intolerable or Coercive Acts
This act stopped allowing elections in the colonies. This means whatever England says goes. -
"Shot Heard Around the World"
This was the first shot of the American Revolution. This shot wasn't actually heard around the world. -
Common Sense
This was a pamphlet written by Thomas Paine. This was written to get people to open there eyes and see what was going on. -
Declaration of Independence
This document symbolized independence for Great Britain. The document was made on July 2nd. But was enforced on July 4th. -

The was when delegates met to discuss colonial congress. They also discussed what to do next about the British.
