A tax on importing sugars, wine, and coffee; Molasses tax had already been levied in 1733; Sugar tax was half of molasses tax; Colonists refuse to pay. -

British troops must be supplied with living quarters; bedding; food; rum; beer; cider. -

Major step in uniting colonies against British; Nine colonial delegations agreed that there would be no taxation with no representation. -
Declaratory Act passed
States that Britain has the right to pass laws regarding the colonies. -
Boston Massacre
A fight that broke out between British soldiers and an angry mob of colonists. Despite it being called a massacre, only five people were killed. Three at the scene and two later on. One of the people who died wasn't acknowledged in pictures made for being black. -
