Etruscan rulled rome
Etruscan ruled Rome from 616 and 509. During this time Rome was divided into two classes patricians and plebeians. -
Patricians rebelled
They drove out the last Etruscan king. They created a republic to elect officials to work for the interest of the people. -
Rome
The city of Rome had between 25,000 - 40,000 people. Most of the people were plebeians, they were angry that they didn’t have the rights the patricians had, So they went on strike they won’t come back until they got what they wanted. Rome was in trouble without the plebeians the city would crash down because they did all the work. -
Plebeians gained the right to pass laws
The assemblies of all Roman citizens could approve or reject laws. after 200 years the plebeians had won their fight for equality.
