  • Born!

    I was born in 1998, at Saint Francis West via Vaginal birth. My mom was in active labor for about 11 hours. So this is about average! (Sec 3.1 in textbook)
  • Sleeping/nap time

    When I was 3-4 months old, I loved sleeping and taking naps. My parents would always make sure I was sleeping flat on my back to prevent SIDS. (sec 4.1 in textbook)
  • Feeding myself

    I saw videos from the first time I fed myself. I was a little over a year old. My parents gave me my Blue's Clues spoon and a bowl of baby food in front of me. They taught me to pick up my spoon, scoop the food and put it in my mouth. I had some trouble the first time but eventually mastered it! (sec 5.1 in textbook)
  • First words!

    My first word was "hi." The first time I said my first word, I was only 9 months old! Everyone would wave to me and say "hi" and I eventually caught on. My first and only language is English. (Sec 4.6 in the textbook)
  • Younger Brother

    In 2001, my younger brother was born via vaginal birth. He was breastfed until he was 2 1/2 years old! Just like how they did in human past. (Sec 3.5 in textbook)
  • Riding a bike

    I learned how to ride a bike and was able to do it all on my own by the time I was 4 years old. I remember it was my favorite bike because it was pink with purple streamers on the handle bars! It took a lot of practice and balance but I eventually did it! (sec 5.1 in textbook)
  • Hand Dominance

    When I was a toddler, I did almost everything with my left hand. Such as scribbling, feeding myself, and picking things up. That was a way to notice that I was left handed. (sec 6.3 in textbook)
  • Visited Canada

    In 2003 our family went to visit Canada because my uncle and cousins lived there. Canada is known as one of the developed countries. (sec 1.1 in the textbook)
  • First best friends

    I had two first best friends when I was in 1st grade. It was easy for me to make friends because I wasn't shy and I would be able to go up to other kids and talk or play with them. ( sec 7.7 in textbook)
  • Diagnosed with Asthma

    During my middle childhood, I was diagnosed with asthma. My pediatrician gave me an inhaler to use. I would mostly use it when I would play sports. ( sec 7.2 in textbook)
  • Older sister

    When I was about 10 years old, my sister was having a hard time conceiving for over a year. She went to her doctor and they talked to her about infertility. (sec 2.3 in textbook)
  • Armpit Hair

    I first started noticing that I was growing armpit hair when I was in the middle of my 7th grade year. It was very light and thin, but I felt super uncomfortable and awkward about it. (sec 8.1 in textbook)
  • Found out I was Anemic

    I kept having symptoms that included dizziness, lightheaded, nausea, and irritability, and trouble sustaining attention. My doctor took a blood test and found out that I was Iron deficient, and suggested ways to boost up my Iron. (sec 6.2 in textbook)
  • Trip to Mongolia

    I went to Mongolia for a month in the summer of 2014. I was able to see the different culture there, and noticed that there socioeconomic status was very low. (sec 1.1 in textbook)
  • First Job

    I got my first job when I was a junior in high school. I got hired at Jamba Juice. I would do that and school and I really enjoyed it! ( sec 8.4 in textbook)
  • New Friendship

    In 2017, I started working with a girl who had Down Syndrome. She was able to say words like "Yes" and "No" and understand some things that I would say. (sec 2.6 in textbook)
  • Change in sleep schedule

    I recently started a new job that requires me to wake up at 6:00 AM from Monday - Friday. I have decided that even on the weekends I wake up at the same time so I can have better sleep hygiene and keep my schedule consistent. (sec 9.2 in textbook)
  • Started College

    I started college in 2018 and I am currently studying to become a School Counselor. I will need to get my Master Degree in school counseling in order to become a counselor. It is something that I believe I will enjoy doing. (sec 9.5 in textbook)
