    Shot heard around the world
    A single shot was made which showed the determination of the colonist. The shot happened during the lexington and concord battle and was deemed the starting point of the American revolution.

    Thomas Jefferson & The Declaration of Independence
    Thomas jefferson was in charge of writing the Declaration of Independece. The Declaration stated that the 13 colonies regareded themselves from Britain and were now independent.

    Benjamin Franklin was a very popular man in France and served as an ambassador for the colonies. After the battle of Saratoga the French saw that the colonist would win battles the decided to help them in a winning battle.

    The spanish didn't want to join forces with the Americans becuase they knew that revolts where danderous matters. After the french prime mister negotiated with the spanish however they joined the war as allies of the french.

    In feburary of 1783 King Goeroge III issued the end of hostile acts on the Americnas. The treaty was ratified by the congress in 1784 and offically ended the war

    The third estate (low class) broke apart form the Estates General and deemed themselves the National Assembly. Because they where locked out of their meeting hall they were forced to met in a tennis court where the vowed to always meet and stay seperated form the other estates until they made a new constitution for France.

    The National Convention declares the abolition of Negro slavery in all the colonies. Even so they did not change social hierarchy and still worked in the sugar fields
