  • French and Indian war

    French and Indian war
    The French and the Indians had a war but the British won the war. They got lots of land and debt but were looking for colonists to pay debt. It increased tension between the colonies and Britain.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    In Philadelphia colonists conducted a mock hanging of a dummy to represent the stamp agent. It was a bad idea for them to do the stamp act but it was their first time that they had taxed Americans directly. The colonists protested because of it. Parliament agreed to repeal the act.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    A bunch of colonists began to throw snowballs at the guards that were protecting the customs house. They all fought because someone yelled out "FIRE!!" and the soldiers were put on a trial for murder. Samuel Adams made an idea of committees of correspondence so they can communicate with the other colonists.
