British Parliament passed a bunch of Acts against the Colonies like the Stamp Act or the Sugar Act causing colonists to become uneasy. -
Boston Tea Party
Colonists held the Boston Tea Party where they dressed as Native Americans and went to dump all the tea into the harbor to rebel against the tax on tea. -
Intolerable Acts
Parliament passed the Intolerable Acts to close Boston Harbor and punish Massachusetts. -
First Continental Congress Meeting
In September of 1774, they met at Carpenter's Hall to draw up an appeal to King George and to draw up a Declaration of Rights and Grievances. -
Beginning of the Revolutionary War
The war began with the Battle of Lexington and Concord in April of this year. -

Benjamin Franklin formed an alliance between the United States and France so they could have help against Great Britain. -
