French and Indian war
This was the final colonia war. This was a war between the French, Great Britian, and The colonies. It was the turning point for america.America did not win this battle but they faught well. -
Quortering act
The purpose of this act was to save money. Britian kept about 10,000 Soldiers in the colonies. This requiered colonists to quorter or house British troops and supplie them with food. Colonists protested and won. -
Stamp Act
This act required colinests to buy a stamp to show that they baught it and they had to put it on every thing, even news papers. There were alot of protests agenst the stamp act. The colonists really did not like this act at all. The colonists eventually wrote a letter to the king who then got rid of the stamp act. -
Tea act
This act was made to help one on the tea companies. The compane they are trying to help grows their tea in India and ships it to Britian. The tea act made the price of tea lower but the tea could only be sent to Britian. This caused the colonists to get upset because they could not get their tea as fast as everyone else. The prim minester thought they should not get mad because they lowered the price for tea. -
Intolerable acts
There were many intolerable acts the American colonists had to face. They all came alone whitch made it harder for the Americans to follow. Every time one was put out for them to follow they would alwayse protest it and win -
Boston Teaparty
This is when a group of men dressed up as native americans and dumped tea into the boston marina. They were in disquise to be shoure not to my caught and killed. There were loads of people on the docks waching and cheering them on. -
Battle of bunker hill
This battle was considered one of the bludyest battles in the colonial times. the Americans were on top oh a hill and the british decided to run up the hill. The Americans did not have as many wepons and amunition as the british did so the general Washington said only shoot if you can see the whits of their eyes. This helped them save buletts to kill the British. Washington also had cannons pointing at the british ships and although they did not have any cannon balls they pretended. -
The Battle Of Lexington And Concord
This battle was between Lexington and Concord. This battle was harsh and was very imporntant. This was a turning point for everyone. -
Fort Ticonderoga
This is a place where many wars took place. This is an american fort. This fort was made when George Washington was still under rule.
The americans did not win this one eaither. -
declaration of indapendence
This was when the colonies became their own. The colonies did not like being under British rule. They did not like all the things Britian was doing so they made a declaration declaring indapendence. The King did not respond at first. The second tine they sent the document he sighned it.
