Writs of Assistance
Allowed authorities to search anyone's property for smuggled goods. The first writ of assistance was passed in Massachusetts in 1751. The colonists hated this eventually, because the searchers were barbaric in their manner. -
The Proclamation of 1763
The proclamation of 1763 issued by King George the 3rd asserted that the colonists could not settle any land past the Appalachian Mountains. This angered the colonists because they could not settle there, and those who alreay had were forced to relocate. -
The Stamp Act
The Stamp Act put a tax on every piece of paper the colonists bought. This enraged the colonists. The Colonists were so distressed, they called together the Stamp Act congress. This congress debated on the decisions they would make over this issue and how they would protest. -
Quartering Act
Colonists had to provide extra supplies as well as a sleeping area for soldiers. This enraged the colonists because some could not afford this extra food and space. Others simply hated the people from Britain. -

Townshend Acts
The Townshend acts placed a tax on a large amount of things, such as paper, paint, tea, glass, and lead.This angered the colonists greatly, for they had been taxed so many times before, and it was even harder to survive this tax. -

The Boston Massacre was the sluaghter of multiple armed protesters by British soldiers. -

The Boston Tea Party
During the Boston Tea Party, memebers of the Sons of Liberty disguised themselves as the Indians who were transporting tea to America. They Hijacked the ship at port and dumped several galllons of tea into the harbor. -
The Intolerable Acts
The Intolerable acts were intended to punish the rebellious colonists for the boston tea party incident. The acts were extremely strict in their manner and acts such as the Boston Port act almost starved the colonists. The citizens of colonial America only became more frustrated. -

The Second Continental Congress was a group of delegates furthering the war effort and resisting Britain's efforts. -
The Battles of Lexington and Concord
The Battles of Lexington and Concord were the first conflicts of the Revolutionary war. The Americans succeeded ino verpowering the British and won the battle. -

The Battle of Bunker Hill, although a colonial defeat, inflicted massive casualties on the British, and raised morale for the Americans. -
Battle of Saratoga
The Battle of Saratoga was one of the turning points of the wwar, and the surrender of General Burgoyne gave a boost to morale and confidence. -
Winter at Valley Forge
During the winter at Valley Forge, Washington and his men hit low morale, disease, and starvation, and cold weather at the same time. Washington's men struggled, but survived to see the next battles of the Revolutionary war. -

The Final Engagement of the Revolutionary War, where General Cornwallis surrendered to the Americans and Victory was achieved. -
