The committees of correspondence were a secret government formed after the disagreement with parliament, they almost served as the middle man for all the other colonies, keeping them up to date as the american revolution became closer. -

In attempt to support the East India company, parliament dismissed tea import duties, to make direct sale to the colonies. -

In result of the tea acts, the Americans in anger dumped 9,000 pounds worth of tea into the Boston harbor. -
