  • HOOKE

    HOOKE
" A self educated child prodigy" examined a thin cutting of cork with a microscope and found his discovery of empty spaces which he then called "pores" known by many, cells, which then led to be the finder of the building block of life. citation: House, Paul. leewenhoek
where as hook found the cell, leewenhoek, being notorious for microsopes, discovered that there were may different types of cell, he discovered single-celled animals, red blood cells , and sperm cells. citation: "Discovery of Cells." N.p., n.d. Web. 16 Oct. 2016. picture citation:

    brown
Brown was observing a piece of plant tissue and found the nucleus of the plant cell. His model show the nucleus as a main part of a cell. citation:By Default, If the Menu Opens on the Right, We. schwann
schwann discovered the cells that envelop the nerve fibers. Also while working with schlieden, schwann declared "All living things are composed of cells and cell products". citation"Theodor Schwann." Wikipedia. Wikimedia Foundation, n.d. Web. 17 Oct. 2016.
  • schleiden

    schleiden
After studying browns discovery of the nucleus, schlieden knew that the nucleus had to somehow be related with cell division. Though his prediction on how was inaccurate, hes discovery led to the beginning of plant cytology.
  • virchow

    virchow
Virchow began to pay close attention to the part of the cell theory that states that "every cell comes from a preexisting cell." From this virchow's phrase "omnis cellula e cellula" meaning every cell comes from a existing cell.Though his idea was not completely orginal considering many scientists such as Robert ramnak also discovered this idea, but virchows idea made the importance of cellular pathology greater.
