    When I was around 5 years old, my mother began teaching me Spanish. My whole family had spoken Spanish but I could only speak english! At this age, she focused on teaching me the Spanish vowels and pronunciation!

    When I was younger, my mother read many books to me such as The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Goodnight Moon! But one book in particular stood out to me which was Chicka Chicka Boom Boom!

    In elementary school, all of the students were obsessed with StarFall (myself included). StarFall was an interactive website where you could play games, while also spelling and reading!

    During the first days of kindergarten, our class was told to copy words given/told to us! One of the words was the name of the school and I remember being told that my writing was very good! My mother later told me that my teacher thought I was very ahead for my age!

    In elementary school, almost all of the teachers used Raz-Kids! This was a website where teachers could create an online class. Students would log in and were able to unlock more and more books as their reading level/abilities increased! Being at a "Z" level was the best and I remember unlocking it!

    In 4th grade, I read my first ever "Favorite Book"! I read the book Wonder for the first time and I fell in love with it and its message!

    I found my current favorite book in seventh grade! Students were sent down to the library in order to check out a reading book. As I browsed, I happen to find a book that seemed somewhat interesting called The Shadow Society. After reading, it became my favorite book!
