The first book I remember being obsessed with was called Bunny Runs Away. I was about 6 years old.

When I was about 8 years old my mom started taking my siblings and me to the public library every weekend. I traveled to different places and times every time I opened a new book.

When I was about 10 years old I taught myself to read in Spanish. I already knew how to speak it so it wasn't too hard. I would read my parents' Spanish encyclopedias.

When I started high school I had to start reading a bunch of books I didn't want to read. Some of them are books I enjoy now but I didn't back then.

I discovered the Chicken Soup for the Soul books and completely fell in love with them. Before them, I hadn't read too many non-fiction books.

A little late but better than never. My little sister was in 5th grade at the time and was assigned to read Harry Potter. She told me about it and although I was 16 I immediately fell in love.

I had read comic books when I was younger, but around this time I was introduced to Manga and longer graphic novels like Y The Last Man and I ended up really liking this genre.

This was one of the books I had to read in high school but never finished it because I didn't want to. Many years later I was bored one day and started to read it and it became one of my favorites.

I read The Fault In Our Stars and really liked it, so I decided I wanted to read more from the same author. I ended up really liking all of John Green's work and I consider him one of my favorite authors.

I never liked poetry when I was growing up but then all of a sudden it began to interest me. Charles Bukowski might have had a little to do with it.
