Rainbow Fish
Was/is one of my favorite books of all time. Lesson of sharing stuck with me. Loved the colors as a kid. -
Failed Comprehension--Second grade
I don't really know why I remember this so significantly, but I do. I took a read-aloud test and failed the comprehension portion. Worked to be better. -
Twilight Epidemic
I am convinced I started this trend at my school in fifth grade. It made me fall in love with getting lost in books. -
Don Quixote
Read together in Spanish class, solidified reading comprehension in Spanish. -
1984
Very impacted by its message and really opened my mind. Got me to really begin to think critically about the world around me. Also one of my favorite classics. -
Romeo and Juliet
Found the language frustrating and pointless at the time. Was one of the only books I remember reading in ninth grade. -
The Scarlet Letter
HATED this book, was bored to tears, made me dislike old literature for a period of time. -
An Ideal Husband
LOVED this play by Oscar Wilde. Regained an appreciation for Old Literature. Laughed so much. One of my favorite classics. -
Paradise Lost
Very emotional/memorable. Loved that it gave a hugely different perspective of the devil and his story, so intriguing and creative. -
Frankenstein
One of the few books that brought me to tears. Loved the writing style--felt so much sympathy. Favorite classic book. -
Everything I Never Told You
Began to realize how much I appreciate good writing style. First book I read having known nothing about it.
