Today is my "birthday" and Ma give me a big juicy fruit for me to munch on ! -
Deer I Saw
Today I went for a walk in the woods with my Ma and Pa and we saw a deer !... But it ran away -
Stamps
Mama told me in the morning that the first ever stamps were printed today but she did not tell me what it was for. I keep asking her but she is to busy with our food -
I got in trouble with John
Today I was at the farm again. My job today was to collect some more eggs but I dropped 2 and John get very mad at me. He is very scary when he is angry. Boy, I hope I that I dont have to go his farm tommorow -
Pa's Busy Day
Today, Pa was on a break from work yet, he was still very busy with some things that Ma needed him to do. I love my Pa very much so I helped him with the chores. I helped with washing our cloths. After, he took me for a walk! -
Boring Work!
I had to go John's farm today to milk his cows and goats. Boy, that made my hands smelly! I also had to collect eggs from the den. It was VERY scary going in the den by myself -
Cold Weather
Today was very cold today, ma gave me some hot water to heat up -
My New Friend
Today, on the way to John's farm, I bumped into a beautiful girl who seemed my age. I asked for her name, she responded with "Lou" I asked if we could play together sometime and she said yes. I was very happy today -
Working with Lou
Today I saw Lou's Ma talking with john. It turned out Lou started to work for John too. Today, we both milk cows. She was beautiful while pulling on the utters. -
Western Railway
Today the "Western railway" was open so now dad can get from hamilton to tornoto -
Dad's not home
Dad was suppose to come home today from the train but he didn't come back. -
My 14th Birthday
Its my birthday and mom gave me the occasional "favourite meal" of mine. I went outside for a walk and saw Dad walking back from work. I greeted hime but it seemed like he was in a bad mood. He said happy birthday to and walked away. -
Lou's Present
I was walking in the town today and Lou came up to me and gave mea hug! She said it was for my birthday because she didn't was not in town yesterday. She also told john that she could take my shift at work tommorow and I was happy but I felt guilty because if I had to clean up the poop tommorow then she had too! -
Jack The Chicken
Today, I had to collect eggs at John. WhenI finished, I left the barn but one of the chickens followed me evaerywhere! So I asked John if I could keep it as a pet and he said it was ok ! -
The Cold Snow
Its so cold today, I was outside playing in the snow with Lou. It was so much fun! -
My Dinner
I helped mom with the cooking today. I cut some vegetables and pork. Boy, that meal was delicious -
Jack and his tricks
Today I got a bag of seeds for Jack. I sat down and wanted to teach her a trick so I tried teaching her how to speak. It did not work! I will get it someday -
Hot Day
Today was very hot. Me and Ma were sweating a ton when we were doing laundry. -
Lou is my Love
Today, Lou and I kissed, It was amazing! But we both turned red heh.... -
Pa's Feet
Dad dropped a large rock on his foot. He was trying to move it out of the way of our yard in the back. -
The Farm
Today, me and Pa built a farm for us to grow some vegetables so we dont have to go to the market to buy them. It was very tirreing when plowing the dirt. It was worth it -
Marrying Lou
I prepared for this for weeks, practising my proposal line, benind on knee and say " Will you, Lou Smith, marry me". The time has come, I asked her to marry me today. She responded with a.... YES, I was so happy! -
Helping Ma
I visited Ma today, it was nice seeing her again!. She needed help with the crops so I helped her get some potatoes, carrots, and tomatoes. After, she gave a hug and a kiss and wished me good luck with my future. I sure hope to vist again soon -
Jack learnt the trick!
Jack finnaly learnt how to bawk on command! I showed Lou and I made her laugh for a very long time -
Lou's farm
We needed to build a small farm in the backyard today because we cant alway go to the market, it was too much work so we built our wo nfarm. I got the wood and started to build fencing and posts while Lou was plowing the dirt and planting the vegetable seeds. It was very nice to do . After, I brought Lou out for a nice walk in our town -
Too Old
I went over to Johns to work there to work today. When I got there, John said he didnt need my help. He only needed me when I was little because Ma said I had to much freetime. He told me to get another real job. I was thinking of opening a bakery because I love to bake and people love bakery goods. I can make bread for my family too! A can make a bunch for Ma and Pa when I vist them. -
Our Son
Lou gave birth to our wodnerful son today. He is very handsome and he kind of looks like me but more like Lou. We are still deciding what to name him, Lou wants to name him John but I wanted to name him Robert. Whatever name he had, we would still love him a ton. Oh boy, this is goibng to be very hard -
Opening A Bakery
I opened my own bakery today, and yes it was cold outside, VERY COLD. Anyways, 3 people came in and got 3 loaf's of bread give all of them an extra loaf because they're our first customer and I am trying to make a good first impression so they come again. I had really good buisness today and I made some money. I brought home some bake goodies for Lou and told her my day. She gave me a big hug and wished me a good second day. -
Roberts 1st birthday
Today is my son's birthday and I baked him a cake, soft enough for him to bite into. We celebrated by going out and paying in the pile of leaves I put together the day before. I think he even said his first word "hi" But without his pair of teeths its hard to understand what he is saying. -
Ma Taking care of Robert
Today I went to work with Lou but we couldnt watch Robert so I asked Ma if she could take care of Rob and she said it was ok. After work I went to Ma's house and asked her if Rob behaved and of course she said yes. That was good! Pa was in the yard aat the back and I talked to him before we left. Told em we had a bakery opend and said you should visit some time -
Robert can talk now
ITs now the point i life where a kid can start talking and now, Robert can talk! It is really neat how I can communicate with him now but hopefully, he doesnt take it advantage of it and lie. My boy has grown up so fast -
We need more Customers
We are running out of money because we dont ahve enough customers, mostly because not alot of people know that there is a new bakery so after work, me and Lou went around and telling everyone that we had a new bakery. -
Pa is Sick
I visited Ma and Pa today. Pa is ussally in the back so I went to the back but he wasnt there so I went inside and called for Ma. Ma was inside of Pa's room and then I saw Pa lying in the bed sleeping. Ma said he was sick which is very bad because the weather is so hot so it is harder to sleep. I hope Pa feels better. -
Teaching Rob to Help out with chores
Rob is 5 now and I think its time for him to learn how to help out the family so I started teaching him how to do the laundry. After I went to see John, older than I remebered, I asked him if my son could work at his farm and he said yes. He congratulated me on my marriage and my son, it was great seeing him again, Robert was going to start working there every week at least once. He loved animals and he was excited to work there -
Robert's 6th Birthday
Today is Robert's 6th birthday and he got his friend Luke over to play. Me and Lou baked a delicious cake for them to have. Luke is a nice kid and so were his parents, I thought that he was naughty but he is very welled behaved. I hope Robert had a good Birthday -
Pa's Passing
I visited Ma for the 6th time because I needed to bring Pa'as medicine. When I walked in the home, I could he rMA crying. I went over to the room and I could understand, Pa was gone. I dropped to my knees and started to cry aswell. I got the doctor but he could not do anything. They took Pa and asked if Ma wanted to stay in our home or stay here, she wanted to stay in the home -
Visiting Pa
I went to Pa's grave with Ma, Lou, and Robert today saying our words. I miss him so much and I know Ma does too. Ma started to tear in her eyes, I could see. I started to tear in my eyes too. Lou calmed us both down. Robert didn't really know what was going on and I dont blame him, he is only a kid. -
The Pet
I went to get Robert from John today and according to John, Robert kept bugging him to have one of the pigs . John said it was ok for him to have one because John was getting old but I said no it was ok. I made Robert sad but we cant possibly take care of a pig. -
Incredible Buisness
We got a lot of people today the bakery today. I don't know why but most of them wanted the same cake I baked for Roberts 6th birth. I think they were celebrating the election for Alexander, poor John. Anyways, We were really busy today and I was thinking of getting another person to work here other and Lou so I wrote on a paper that I needed help and putted it outside. -
Robert is 11
Robert turned 11 today. He is growing up so fast! We gave them the occasional cake and I was thinking about this the week before but I asked John if I could have one of the pigs because he wanted a pig a long time before. I showed him and Rob was as happy as ever. After the cake, he asked if he could go walk with Luke. Lou and I said it was ok. He headed out and he wasn't walking with Luke. He was walking with a girl! Ahh, my boy is growing up! -
The Den
We needed a place for "Porkers" To live so I asked Rob if he wanted to build the Den with me and of course he said yes. Lou was inside making us lunch while we were butting down fences in our backyard, next to our small farm. After we finished the fences, we started to build a Slop Trough where the pig eats out of. When we were done, Robert asked what would happen if it was raining and that we needed to build a pig house for Porkers. A little bit of work wouldn't mind so we built one!. -
Robert and the Girl
Today, Rob asked if he could walk with Luke again. Of course I knew he was lying because he has been walking with that girl ever since his 11th birthday. Lou said it was ok but I stopped him and asked who he was walking with for the past 2 years. I also told him that it was a girl so don't to me. I could see his cheeks turn red as he blushed. Apprantly it was Alice and Robert likes Alice. I rolled my eyes and let him out. I told him not to get to naughty! I can't believe he lied to us! -
Brining home Alice
Robert is 14 now and I think that they both love each other now. The otherday, I was painting Pokrkers Den and I saw robert kissing Alice. He asked us today if Alice could stay for dinner, we kind of had to say yes because Alice was there and we didn't want to say no. We had the usual home made bread, chicken, and our farm vegetables. It was nice chatting with Alice and making Rob feeling all weird. -
Invited to Alice's Home
Alice Invited our whole family to eat dinner at their home today. Seeing it was a big deal for Robby, I did it. Lou was getting ready and boy she looked beautiful. I didn't really now what to wear so I wore a nice suit. We went over and they have a really big home, itas bigger than ours at least. We had very nice slection of food at dinner like cooked chicken, roast beef, roast pork, turnips, spinich, and lots of tomato soup. Their family was very nice -
Visiting Ma
I visted MA today and she did not look so good compared to 2 days ago. She said it was the time where people go. At first I didn't really understand what she meant but then it hit me. She was going to die. I could feel my face heat up. My Ma who took care of me is going to die. She was getting old though but I dont wont her to leave me like Pa. when Pa passed away, I felt like something was missing from me everyday and I dont want Ma to leave me. It will hurt me so much. -
Ma is going to Leave soon
I visted Ma again today because I really dont want her to die. I told her that I could get the daoctor but she refused, she wanted to die. I understand because she was already miserable from Pa's death. But I need her so I went back to my home and explained why I needed to stay at Ma's home for a few days to Rob and Lou. they understand. Lou gave me a kiss and a a Hug. Robert understood and gave me a hug. I headed back to Ma's home and stayed with her untill she passed away -
Robert thinking to move out
Robert told me and Lou today that he was starting to get to the point in life where he wanted to leave and live with Alice. I could understand because I was around his age when I left with Lou. I told him that if he did just to make sure that he moved somewhere close to our home so we could visit from time to time. Hopefully he wouldn't move untill next year -
Porker has grown alot
I went to the back to get some vegetables for todayas dinner and Porker ran to me and rubbed against my Leg. He has grown some affetion and bond to us alot since we got him. We dont feed him slob like what John feeds him. We mash up fresh fruits and cut up break piesces and sepereate it for maybe thats one of the reasons why he loves us. -
Robert packing his things
Robert is now 19 and I think its time for him to move out. He has the money to move out from us and he is packing his things right now as I am writing. Lou is tearing up seeing how grown up he has gotten her very emotional. I started to cry a bit too. Him moving out was a very big deal for both of us. I knew that he will miss Lou and I and that we would miss him too. -
Just me and Lou
Today Rob was leaving to his new home. He already has his things there. He came by today for one of the last time we see him untill a long time. We were all crying saying our goodbyes. I baked the very same cake as the one I baked for hm when he was 6, that made him cry even more. All of the memories of all 3 of us were coming back and making us tear up even more. We knoe that He needs to continue so after we said our goodbyes, all 3 of us hugged and me and Lou kissed him on the cheek. -
Robert Vistiting us
Me and Lou were at the bakery today feeling downer than ever because of the number of customers, weather, and just feeling pressured from who knows what. We then saw Robby come through the doors. We gave him a abig hug and assk him how he was doing. He now has a daughter named Violet and he has been really busy with his job. He was a well paid carpenter. After work. he invited us to their home for dinner. We went and they had a very great home. It was big but cozy. Robert is very successful! -
Counting Stars
I had a long hard day at the bakery, Just my self there because Lou wasn't feeling well and my worker was at his brothers wedding. Lots of Customers today too. I needed a break. Instead of counting the money I earned today, I went out sat down with Lou and started to count stars. I told her that Me, Ma, and Pa use to do that when I was having a bad day. It brings me so many memories. -
Growing Old
We are Grandparents, me and Lou. That makes me feel very old! We both dont feel as live as we did as before but it was nice feeling old other than the feeling that we were soon to be dead. it made me think thatt I am very mature. Im about 38 years old now and I know that we are soon to be dead but it was ok because Lou and I have lived a long, hasppy, and lovely life. I have been writing this journal since I was 9 and I think its time to stop. I really will miss doing these journals. -Randy
