1:1 Device Integration
The introduction of 1:1 devices with the Colby Tablets and therefore becoming the first 1:1 high school in the western United States. Along with the device integration, digital textbooks were introduced along with a cache system for Williams Compliance and student access of materials at home. -
Change of Devices - Lenovo Tablets
The Colby is out and the Lenovo Tablet is introduced. Teachers and students are a bit happier as this new device is more reliable and effecient to use in the classroom. -
PD - CUE Conference
A group of teachers and administrators are sent for PD to the CUE conference. Upon their return, these teachers put on a series of workshops from which their colleagues can attend during their 'staff meeting' time. The learning becomes authentic and more teachers are onboard with the effective use of instructional technology in their classrooms. -
Chromebooks added
Chromebooks replace approximately 1000 lenovo devices. Primary focus is on 10th grade, 11th grade and special program students. The plan is to have all students taking the SBAC for the first time accustomed to utilizing this device as well as bring the next grade level up and providing them with the opportunity to get ahead of the learning curve. -
Distric-wide Professional Development for all teachers
PD for all teachers to learn how to best and most effectively utilize instructional technology in their classrooms is added. -
School-wide 1:1 Chromebook Integration
Ramona becomes the first high school to have full 1:1 Chromebook introduction in our District. For the first time since 2010, teachers love the device and are most willing to learn how to best and most effectively utilize the device in their classroom. A rebirth of our digital inclusion movement happens. -
Personalized Learning Cohort feeds into Ramona High School
In the 2016-2017 school year, the first cohort from Sierra Middle School will begin at Ramona High School. The model to which they have been exposed for the past two years of their middle school life will continue within thier core subjects. -

Intensive, extensive and exhautive intructional technology professional development is intentional and deliverately introduced and implemented at Ramona High School - for all parties involved. -
Instructional Technology PD
The model of traditional 'staff meetings' is redesigned at Ramona High School. The group of 90 teachers is broken up into smaller groups and a rotation model is now used to present various tech and/or information sessions that allow teachers flexibility and personalization. -
Classroom Display Technology Update
By the 2017-2018 school year, approximately 1/3 of the classroom display technology updates will have been made. Replacing old and outdated projector screens with interactive display pannels that are mobile and never fixed to one space or are of the classroom. -
Classroom Re-Design
'Starbucks' model in the classroom Classrooms begin to be redesigned; furniture that is conducive to student learning and classroom spaces begin the introduction of the 'Starbucks' model. -
Digital Immigrant teachers down significantly
With most boomers retiring, Digital Natives begin to take the workforce and many more teachers in the school system are now Digital Natives. -
Instructional Technology PD
All students and teachers will be operating on full digital platforms in which no paper is necessary. All assignments are turned in on-line and feedback is provided via online platforms such as Haiku.
