6:01am Martin Luther King Jr. Assassination
On April 4th at 6:01 am Martin Luther KIng jr was standing out on his balocny of the motel he was staying at in Memphis TN while promoting nonviolent struggles. On this early morning King was shot on that balcony. -
7:05am King pronounced dead
KIng was immediately brought to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead an hour later. -
The Afternoon of the Assassination
In over 100 cities across the country, riots broke out.
This included Detriot, Newark, NJ, Los Angeles and Washington D.C. -

Federal Rienforcements were called in
In many of the large cities reinforcements were called in to try to control the millions that were rioting. These millions included men women and even children. -
The Children Riot
Over night many caught news of the children planning to riot in schools. On friday morning- April 5th- the students just got up and walked out after causing chaos in the classroom. The kids were running through thought to be protected corridors and screaming at teachers and other people. -
