PRELIM PLANNING
For the Prelim there was limited planning. The planning we did do involved us making a digital timeline, which in the end, we didnt stick to. -
PRELIM PROBLEMS
With this shot we zoomed in which should never be done when filming, however as this was the start of the year we were oblivious to this rule. -
PRELIM PROBLEMS
Poor mise en scene was also an issue in our prelim. as you can see in this picture, we left our tripod in the background, which is a school boy error. This also meant that we didnt use the tripod for some of our shots which led to shakey camera work. -
PRELIM PROBLEMS
Poor lighting also effected us in our prelim. As you can see we filmed with a window in the background which caused my character to become blacked out, which meant it led to poor viewing. -
TEEN FILM PLANNING
We did plenty of planning for our teen film. we looked into films like 'Napoleon Dynamite' for inspiration. we also had digital storyboards and a pitch which presented all our research and planning ideas on. -
TEEN FILM - LIGHTING
We addressed the issue of poor lighting by using a LED light. this allowed us to gain a lot of light even in a dark surounding. -
TEEN FILM - CAMERAWORK
We used a point of view shot to show the stereotypical Bully character of a teen film. This shot is very good as it is a low angle shot, showing the Bully at a higher angle making him a more threatening to the nerd character. -
TEEN FILM - EDITING
As you can see, to up our marks we used editing in our final film. This was a massive improvement from my prelim as no editing was used. we also used plenty of match cutting especially in the bike scenes which added to our mark. -
CONCLUSION
From the prelim i have come a very long way. i now consider everything when filming and do not rush it as that leads to the mistakes that can be seen in the prelim.
