Blogger
Blogger was used throughout the whole process, including planning, filming and editing. Blogger was important as it allowed our group to show the progress throughout the whole process of making our final product, it also showed trail of thought, when using blogger we made individual and group posts to show progress. The creativity used was through showing our progress within different types of media e.g timetoast, prezi, slideshare, pictures and videos. -
Timetoast
Timetoast was one technology that I used to show the 'ORDER OF THE TITLES' and display pur understanding of the conventions. We used this in the planning part of production to ensure that we knew about the placement of the titles. The reason timetoast was useful was because without the 'ORDER OF THE TITLES' our opening sequence would lack a professional flow and be confusing to follow. -
Prezi
Prezi was used to present our pitch and trail of thought for our opening sequence. Throught the planning process, the reason I found Prezi beneficial is because it made it easier for our group to present our ideas and ideal outcome for the product, the visual aspect makes it easier and more interesting to show the audience. Prezi could be used in a creative way as images, text and transition can be as one to give information in a visiual way. -
JVC Camera
JVC Camera was used to create the product and film footage towards the final product, this was used within the filming process of prodcution. Without the camera no footage would have been taken for our final product, to present to our audience. JVC Camera was very useful as it allowed us to capture all footage needed, which allowed our group to achieve a good final product. The camera was used in a creative way by shot types;e.g. worms eye view shot of main character shoe's for representation. -
Final Cut Pro
Finsl Cut Pro was used in the editing process of production to create the final product. Final Cut Pro was helpful in bringing all the footage together to create a good final product of a opening sequence, Final Cut Pro was one of the most important technology used as without this there would be no final outcome just loads of loose footage. Final Cut Pro was used in a creative way as we cross cut, match cut, overlayed, delete and combined clips together to show representation and stereotypes. -
Motion
Motion was used to create distribution and production ident's for our opening sequence of Making The Cut, this was also used within the editing process of production. When using motion it was tricky but was very useful as the idents created gave our personalilty and differentation from other opening sequence, this also helped us follow the order of the titles as this is one of the 1st titles in the opening sequence. This was used in a creative way as there was motion and sound within our ident's -
Audio Converter
Audio converter was used within te editing process also, it was used to get music from clip grabber and convert video clips to mp3 audio which would the be used in Final Cut Pro as non-diegetic sound for our opening sequence of Making The Cut. Without ths technololgy we would not have sound in our opening sequence which is one of the codes and conventions of any opening sequence. -
Clip Grabber
Clip grabber was used part of the process of getting music onto Final Cut Pro, this enabled us to use music from the interent and have a wider variety of music that would suit of genre of film. Using clip grabber allows our opening sequence to be more appealing to our target audience of mainly males aged 16 - 22, as they music is something they can relate to and grab there attention. -
Handbrake
Handbrake was used to compress our video together, this was very vital as it made the product final and professional, which made it possible for us to share the opening sequence with our audience through facebook and our blog. This was a useful part of the process as without this our video footage would be too big for use to share over the web therefore we would not be able to reach out to our audience.
