AS Research
All we did in AS was look at music publications. We made specific focus on a particular genre of music and so looked at magazines that looked at music such as pop/rock and indie. This was so that we could relate with our audience who we identified by doing a survey on Survey Monkey. -
A2 Research
In A2 we looked at many diffrent genres of music videos. We looked at concept, narratives, and performance videos. In the end we decided to chose a narrative style video as we thought our ideas centered around this style more. We also did a Survey Monkey survey in order to identify a more specific audience and what their musical preferences. -
AS Planning
When planning in AS we only created quite bare outlines on a PowerPoint. We also didn't need any permission to take photos as we already had a space and in regards to the model we didn't audition but merely asked for someone to look and wear a certain outfit on the day of the photoshoot. -
A2 Planning
We auditioned various people to find who would be the best to fit the roles needed to tell the story of the song. We also created storyboards for each of our scenes so that we knew what shots we needed for each scene. -
AS Filming
In AS we only used the still cameras as we just needed to collect photos for the magazine. Also, we only used one location for the most part as it was eaiser to edit and manipulate using PhotoShop. -
A2 Filming
In A2 the filming process was done a lot more strictly. First of all we needed to get permission from the locations we wished to film in. Therefore, we used Google Chrome and our phones to call for permission to film there. Media technologies we also used are video cameras, still cameras, social media and other websites to find phone numbers and create filming scehdules. -
AS Editing
In AS the editing program we used was Adobe Photoshop as we were merely editing still images. We also only had novice abilities using some of the effects and so we had to experiment and work on these. -
A2 Editing
We have used Premier Pro to edit our video as well as using Photoshop to edit our digi-pack. By this time our skills on PhotoShop had greatly developed and so we could make our digi-pack and promo poster look more professional.
