Anne was executed on Tower Hill, London, before Elizabeth was even three years old
Even at three years old I believe that Elizabeth remembers her mother execution. You would think that a traumatic event such as this one would have prevented her from functioning as an adult. It seems to me from what I read about Elizabeth is that she was able to overcome this tragedy as well as many others to come.

Since Edward VI was dead and Mary queen of Scots had died also Elizabeth was now heir to the throne. Elizabeth had a ceremony that cost 16,741 pounds which in today’s world equals 3.5 million. I wouldn’t spend that much money on some party. Her people tore the blue carpet she walked on and took pieces of it as a souvenir. She added the following matters to the coronation:

    • She retreated to a curtained area in St. Edward’s chapel during the Elevation of the Host.
This is important because the changes that she made during the corona

When Elizabeth was on her deathbed she was uncertain if she would have James VI of Scotland the king the next heir to the throne because she remember the events that were happening when her half- sister Mary was alive and how the abandoned Mary in Elizabeth favor in Mary’s final weeks, but when they asked who shall be next heir to the throne she pointed to James VI and there were several others who claimed to be but they didn’t want to get into all that mess, so Elizabeth picked James the VI.
