This is a small event in Elizabeth's life, but she was claimed to have been punished by the church for taking the crown being a women. -

Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned by Elizabeth the I under the impression she was comitting treason. That she was going to assinnate Elizabeth, or tried to already, in order to get the English throne as well as the scottish which she already posese. -

The interdict show what imapact that Queen Elizabeth I had own the Church. She was powerful enough to become a threat to the church and make them act out aginst her. -

Pope Gregory XIII announces that killing Elizabeth is not a sin.
This event adds more tension between the government and the church. The event leads to a long lasting issue that Elizabeth has to face tell her death. -
Sir Walter Raleigh receives the patent to explore and settle in North America.
This plan to let Raleigh go to the Americas, show that Elizabeth was willing to take a risk to expand her empire. And the risk paid off and become a great investment for England. -
Philip of Spain launches the Spanish Armada
The Spanish Armada was the Spanish fleet that sailed against England under the command of the Duke of Medina Sidonia in 1588, with the intention of overthrowing Elizabeth I of England to stop English involvement in the Spanish Netherlands and English privateering in the Atlantic and the Pacific. This was one of (if not) the biggest attacks aginst England and her Queen. -
