Chinese Age of Warring States
In the “age of warring states,” seven different kingdoms were competing and fighting to reunify China. They had many different ideas on how to go about this, the main two being Confucianism and Legalism. Although Confucianism eventually became the main form of order in China, Legalism is what eventually ended the warring states period, which had raged on for 279 years. -

China's Qin Dynasty Empire
The Qin dynasty started off as a warring state until its prince Qin Shihuangdi ascended to the slot of king of Qin. At that point, he ordered the conquest of China in an effort to reunite the empire. China is united by 221 B.C.E and the Qin dynasty eventually falls in 206 B.C.E, at which point it is replaced by the Han dynasty. -

The Han empire lasted for about 14 years. This empire was located in present-day China and it expanded toward west part of Asia. Liu Bang was the emperor of the Han dynasty until its eventual collapse. -

Life of Confucius
Confucius was born during the 6th-century B.C.E, over time he learned the value of family as well as morals and education. By using these ideas as a foundation, he was able to create a religion based on the principles of knowledge and family, of establishing good morals and putting them to practice. Over time this religion would be known as Confucianism. -

Yellow Turban Rebellion
Large landowning families with political status and huge estates were able to avoid paying taxes, turning free peasants into impoverished tenant workers. This led to a major peasant revolt known as the Yellow Turban Rebellion; Titled this because of the yellow scarves peasants wore around their heads. This and other rebellions further devastated the economy, weakened the state, and contributed to the overthrow of the dynasty a few decades later. -

Collapse of Chinese Han Dynasty
The Han dynasty grew very large which became hard to govern. They also had difficulty with outside nomadic invaders. This conflict occurred toward the border of the empire. The Han Dynasty also experienced conflicts with the environment. Some parts of the empire experience drought and extensive floods which caused a lack of crops. All these factors contributed to the collapse of the Han Dynasty.
