The diet of worms is when a person is obligated to only eat worms. The Council of Trent was a formal Catholic reply to the doctrinal challenges of the Protestant Reformation. It was to define the Catholic doctrine and made decrees on self-reform, and that helped to revitalize the Roman Catholic Church in the face of protestant expansion. The Edict of Nantes was signed by King Henry IV witch guaranteed freedom and religious toleration to the group of Huguenots. Its international was to end religious civil wars between French Catholics and protestants. This was political because of the religious and political freedom of Huguenots.
