    My mom has been a victim of fraud because someone used her credit card and stole her identity to purchase items they desired. He or she went to multiple stores in a short period of time and bought things my mom would never buy. My mom received an alert from the bank of the card about suspicious credit card activity and charges. Then, she called the bank and told them to cancel the lost card and send a replacement.
