    Adolescents have easy access as well as over exposure to sexual content, which is conveyed in a positive light with limited information on the risks sexual activity causes. So preadolescents and adolescents use these as examples and therefore become sexual active. To help prevent the issue, parents are encouraged to supervise their children on the content they're exposed to. This article gives facts and information on the risks and ways to prevent premature sexual behavior in teens.

    Adolescents are particularly vulnerable to sexual content in media because most teens are not completely cognitively developed to discern and decipher the messages in media and with the amount of time teens spend watching television makes them more likely to develope sexual behavior at a young age. He points out how although casual sex is portrayed regularly in media, sexual responsibility is rare to come across, leaving teens without he proper knowledge. This article comes from a doctor's point of view and adds health risks and preventions.

    Although this article a strong opinionated article, it comes first hand from a father who is also a doctor. Wayne Parker introduces 2 studies supporting his opinion that sexual activity in adolescents are increased when they are exposed to sexual content in the media.

The authors focus on one medium of media, music, and studies the effects of it on a select group of adolescents.
