Emilio Picariello was born in Capriglia, Avellino, Italy. In 1904, he married Marianino Maria Marucci, who was born in San Marco. Emilio was convicted of murder and was hanged in jail on may 2nd 1923. He was buried in edmonton cemetry. When the proahbition was a law in alberta, Emilio became a bootlegger. Rocco Perri was born in Plati, Calabria, in southern Italy on december 30th, 1887 and he died on April 23, 1944. Rocco Perri's body was not found. His body was thrown in Hamilton harbour by fitted with cement shoes. Rocco was under constantly being watched by police. He specilized in transporting liquor from canada to the US. He varied in gambling, prostitution, and in extortion. -

Al Capone was born on January 17, 1899. His nickname was scar face. He was born in Williamsburgh Brooklyn New York. He was the fourth oldest child of nine children. He was born a sociopath. In 1918, Al Capone was involved in a bar fight over a prostitute. Al Capone was sent to jail for a tax evasion conviction, he had about 100 million dollars and is responsible for multiple murders. He went to jail fro 11 years for the tax evasion -

A speakeasy is a illegle orginization that sells alcholic beverages. This started to happen around when the probiton happend. During this time, the sale, the manufacturing, and the transportation of alcholic beverages was illegal. Speakeasies were popular during the proabition years. Some were run by people in orginized crime. Speakeasy offered food and entertainment and were usally higher class orginizations. -
Prohibition taral
For people who did not buy alchol in advance, or knew a " good doctor" that will prescribe you alchol, there were illigal ways to drink during the prohabition. This was when a new type of gangsters began to appear. They noticed the extreamly high demand for alchol within society. Al Capone in Chicago is one of the most famous gangsters of this time periode. Gangsters would hire men to smuggle alchol and then make secret underground bars for people would come to drink and socialize(speakeasies). -
Rum Running taral
The time known as the prohabition when any type of alchohol was banned, there were alot more law breakers. Rum running is when there is illegal transport of alchohol. There was alot of profit waiting to be made. Since alchohal was illegal, the margine of profit was increased greatly so gangster saw a way to make a profit. -

This was the day that two criminal gangs had a huge fight. one was led by Al Capone which was south side itilian and Chicago was led by Bugs Moron. This led to Al Capone losing his influence on the Chicago gang. -
