Sherman Antitrust Act
An act that prevented monopolies from happening. -
John Dewey Progressive School
John Dewey opens a school in order to spread progressive beliefs. -
National Consumers' League Established
Created so people could fight for better rights of women and children labor. -
President Assassinated
President William McKinley is assassinated and Vice President Theodore Roosevelt takes his place. -
Hepburn Act
This act prevented railroads from increasing rates without approval from ICC -
Roosevelt Calls Out Segregation
Roosevelt anounces that Asian segregation isn't right and makes the San Fransisco change it's decision. -
Republican President brought to power
President William Howard Taft is elected for President. -
Clayton Antitrust Act
Revised the laws put on by the Sherman Antitrust Act of1890 that prevents business from becoming monopolies. -
Keating-Owen Child Labor Act
Limits how many hours of labor a child can work -
U.S. joins World War I
U.S. joins WWI and causes unexpected need of resources and because of these events, Proggressives lost much of it's influence. -
18th Amendment Ratified
Alcohol was not allowed to be made or sold. -
19th Amendment Ratified
Gave women the rights to vote.
