Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor
Early in the morning on December 7, 1941, 180 Japaese warplanes flew over Oahu, Hawaii which was the US naval base "Pearl Harbor" They rained bombs and bullets on the base for a hour and half, hitting target after target. The death toll of Americans was 2,403 and wounded 1,178. This marked the US involvement in WWII, the next day Rooselevt declared war on Japan and 3 days later Italy and Germany declared war on the US.
