  • Play Selection

    The plays that will move on to being produced in the upcoming year are selected by a board of theater members and trustees
  • Director Selections

    The director chooses their designers for the show and starts discussing their vision
  • Auditions

    Actors audition for a position in the show
  • 1st Production Meeting

    This meeting is the first time the entire design and production teams meet together to discuss the show. Design ideas are presented and shared with the group to open discussion for how all design groups mix together.
  • Designs Due

    Final design ideas are due to be presented to the design and production teams
  • First Rehearsal

    The first time actors get to work as a group on the show. During the first rehearsal, designers will share the ideas for their design so actors know what to expect
  • 1st Tech

    The first tech rehearsal. Lights, sounds, set, and final props are complete and added into the show with director and actor feedback.
  • 1st Dress

    The first rehearsal where actors are in costume. Typically, all other tech elements have been fully incorporated by this rehearsal so actors and production can focus on costumes.
  • Opening Night

    The first "official" show with an audience
  • Strike

    The tear down of the set and returning of items used in the show
