    Leonardo da Vinci sketched out the first clock. He didn’t invent the first clock he just designed it. His clock had to separate parts, one for hours and the other for minutes. It connected different weights, gears, and harnesses. It also kept track of different moon phases. He instead of using weights wanted to use springs.     Peter Heinlein is from Germany and is the creator of the first modern watch. He set in motion the worlds clock/watch productions. September 7th, 1504 he was involved in a fight that killed two of his friends. After he left for 4 years then later came back to be one of the most famous locksmiths in the world.     The introduction of the quartz watch in 1969 was a revolutionary improvement for the technology of the watch. Instead of using a balance wheel it used a quartz crystal resonator which vibrated 8192 Hz driven by a battery powered circuit.
