Procedures and rules

  • Monday

    Welcome the students. Greet them at the door with a smile and pleasant "Good morning".
    Let them chose and be seated on their desk.
    Check attendance and head count.
    Discuss procedures and rules in entering and leaving the room, use of hand signal, lining up, snack and lunchtime.
    Discuss the procedure for attending flag ceremony.
    Provide getting to know activity for the students
    Encourage everyone to be mindful and respect each other and their environment.
    Write or post the class schedules.
  • Tuesday

    Discussion for late arrival and absent note.
    Continuation of the activity by grouping or matching the students with common interest.
    Remind them to follow procedures and rules.
    Discuss the consequence for misbehavior.
    Assigning group sweepers from Monday-Friday.
    A letter to parent will be send home about first parent-teacher meeting. During this meeting the teacher will introduce herself, explain the classroom rules, and the grading system.
  • Wednesday

    Student-teacher rapport is very important.
    Let them know how interaction will be during the lesson.
    Selection of classroom officers
    Discussion of roles and responsibilities of individual.
    Guide them to have G.M.R.C. (Good manners and right conduct).
    Outline the grading period, submission of projects and extra-curricular activities.
  • Thursday

    Discussion of safety procedures.
    Conduct drill exercise for earthquakes, fire and lock down .
    Monitor and assess the students how well they meet the procedural expectation.
    Implement class motivation system
    Promote open communication and build trust.
  • Friday

    Re-teach procedures and let them recite the rules.
    Provide feedback to students performance.
    Arrange seat plan for the students.
    Create student-centered learning classroom.
    The first parent teacher meeting will be held.
