Kennedy was met with a problem not even a year into presidency. Fidel Castro, Cuba's communist leader, was not happy with America at the time. Kennedy sent 1,400 pro C.I.A troops to Fidel's territory. it didn't go well. -

In San Antonio, Texas, John and his wife had just landed. While on the way to from the airfield, shots rang out in town town Dallas. Kennedy was struck twice, once in the head and in the neck. He was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital shortly after.
