Benjamin Harrison
Was inagurated on March 4, 1889. Harrison sigh the Sherman Antitrust Act. December 29, 1890, federal troops clashed with the Sioux Indians. Lost the next election because of the death of his wife. -
William McKinley
March 4, 1897. 1898, McKinley led the nation into war with Spain for independence. He was re-elected for his second term. was assassinated in September 1901 -
Theodore Roosevelt
Inagerated in September 20 1901. His slogan was the "Square Deal" . He came uo with the "Great White Fleet." 1906 won the Nobel Peace Prize. -
Woodrow Wilson
inagurated March 4 1913. Was president during WW1. April 2, 1917, Wilson asked Congress to declare war on Germany. November 11, 1918, an armistice was signed by the Germans. -
Warren Harding
March 4, 1920 Innagurated.High protective tariffs were enacted. Harding signed the Budget and Accounting Act of 1921. Died in office in 1921 of a heart attack. -
Calvin Coolidge
Inagurated August 3, 1923. Took office after Hardings death. Was a pro-business conservative who favored tax cuts and limited government spending. Contributed to the economic problems that erupted into the Great Depression. -
Herbert Hoover
March 4, 1929 was when he was inagruated. In office when the stock market crashed. Started the Great Depression. Lost to Franklin D. Roosevelt i next election.
